What is word?

As we know letters are symbols used for different sound of a language. But these symbols will not work properly until they are not used in a proper way. These symbols are used in groups of two or more to join some sounds together and to form a meaningful thing. This thing is called word.

So we can say that “a word is a group of letters which has some meaning”. If letters are written together without any proper order and having no meaning, that group is not called a word.
